Chris Coleman has been involved in track & field since 1989. He was a jumper for Fuquay-Varina
High School and still holds the boys triple jump record at 50 feet set in 1991. He was formerly the
Assistant Coach at Fuquay-Varina High School and St. Augustine's College. He is now the Assistant
Coach in charge of jumps at North Carolina State University.

Coach Chris is one of only a few college athletes to be apart of four consecutive Outdoor National
Championship teams. (1992, 93, 94, 95). He was also a member of two Indoor National
Championship teams. (1992 & 1995).

He has the North Carolina 6th best all-time triple jump performance at 52 feet.
