| 2010 Russell Blunt East Coast Invitational |
Eight Allstar athletes competed at the Blunt East Coast Invitation this weekend. The Blunt is
the last Championship Invitational of the year in which the Allstars use the meet as a tune-up
before entering the national championship.
Kortney Pearce captured third in the young women shot put setting a new Allstar team record
of 37 feet 8 inches. This was an improvement on her personal best shot of 37 feet one inch.
Also setting a new record was the youth boys 1600 meter relay. The quartet of Theo
McKinnon, Jamaree Murray, Robert Williams and David Hamilton overcame a major deficit
finishing second in the meet. There time of 3 minutes 40.67 was a new Allstar Team Record.
On Monday, July 27, 2010...the Allstars will be traveling to Sacramento, CA for the USATF
National Junior Championship.
